How we took a beloved traditional sweet and rebuilt it around dates, ragi, seeds and functional herbs — with no refined sugar.
The ladoo is one of India's oldest comfort foods — a round little sweet passed down through generations, made in kitchens for festivals, guests and growing children. We loved everything about it except one thing: the refined sugar.
So we rebuilt it. Our ladoos are sweetened only with dates, raisins and a touch of jaggery. We swapped in ragi, jowar and bajra for slow, steady energy, and packed each blend with nuts, seeds and ghee.
Then came the part we're proudest of: the herbs. Ashwagandha and moringa for grounding. Amla, shatavari and fennel for cooling. Dried ginger, long pepper and cinnamon for a warming spark. Each blend is tuned to a dosha.
The result is a snack that tastes like the ladoos we grew up with, but works with your body instead of against it.
